June is a beautiful month in my new home. Foggy in the morning and sunny in the afternoon, most of the time. I am getting settled in to my new address. 3236 Church St. Fortuna, CA 95540. First I am organizing the down stairs which is the living area and my husband is organizing his shop in the back, when that is all in place and I am getting close then I will begin on the upstairs which will house my quilt studio and my paint studio. I hope. Right now it is really scary with all of the boxes and quilts and fabrics and canvas and paints all mixed up filling one half to the brim!! I will post pictures when it is picture perfect!! I will be teaching exclusively in Humboldt County at Stitches in Ferndale and I am looking forward to that very much. Family is all around me and I am going to be very happy

It is the first of May and I have the most beautiful irises blooming out my studio window.
This is the month that I finally move out to California. I have been packing up the house for what feels like forever. This Thursday we pack up the studio!! that should be interesting.
My husband has been out there for a month now and I can’t wait to be with him again. My sister is flying to Albuquerque on the 18th to help me with the long three day drive with my two big dogs, Ziggy and Buddy. Before that I am going to teach for a week in Mahone Bay Nova Scotia Canada. I am so looking forward to that trip. I am teaching composition and From Watercolors to Quilt. Then home for two days of packing up the last of my stuff. What a month this is!! Then to get my new studio set up and start making quilts again.
